EYAL Squad start with a win at Thurrock

The Eastern Young Athletes League team started their season in winning style with victory in their opening fixture at Thurrock on Sunday. Freddie breaks U17 & U20 800m records 

Freddie Rowe smashed the long-standing club U17 & U20 800m records when winning the BMC series at Gillingham on Saturday in a time of 1m 51.05s, over a three second improvement on his best breaking the bests from a 1978 & 1987 and was the 4th fastest ever time by a club male. --> REPORT

Essex Relays: M40 gold & U15G silver

Club teams came away with gold & silver medals at the Essex & Suffolk Road Relay Championships at Colchester on Saturday. The Vet 40 Men’s team upgraded their silvers from the 2023 & 2024 to gold thanks to James Connor, Barry Smith & Rob Warner. The U15 Girls trio of Poppy Vines, Jasmine Asmal & Orla Friel won silver. --> REPORT

Spring Open: three club records

Club athletes started their summer season in style as the club hosted their annual Spring Warm Up Open (renamed the Dave Naylor Memorial Open) at Hornchurch on Sunday. There were three club records & many other fine performances.
